Another year is coming to an end. Before we let the expectations of a new year in, let’s take a moment to intentionally end this year. Join me for an end of year reflection.
Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for 5-10 minutes to answer the following questions

Reflection:
- What have you accomplished this year, personally and professionally?
- What challenges have you overcome?
- What have you learned from your missteps?
- How did you grow this year?
- How did you show yourself compassion?
- How did you show up for others?
- What can you let go of and leave in this year?
You can sit with these questions or write them in a journal – do what feels right. This activity helps put into perspective the ups and downs of the year, what was and wasn’t in your control and the person you have become through it all.
“We do not learn from experience… we learn from reflecting on experience.” – John Dewey
Don’t Rush the Reset

A new year can be exciting. It’s 365 blank pages, yet it also represents the end of the holidays, togetherness and a return to “productivity”. The first week back in the office is often filled with stress, expectation, and big new goals. Don’t rush to the pressure that awaits you, slow down, be thoughtful and acknowledge yourself. No matter what you accomplished or what is left on your to do list, you’ve completed another year and that’s worth honoring.
You can model this for the people in your life and in your office. It’s important to stop, and take stock of how you’ve spent your time.
